Prescott Pickleball Association presents:
3.5 Training Up Clinic
October 3-4, 2025 (If inclement weather October 10-11)
This clinic is designed for 3.5 and higher ranked players, ranked by tournament play or by PPA's Ranking Procedure. Please contact PJ Janik at 928-237-0452 if you would like to be ranked. Players must be able to drill consistently from the backcourt, be able to keep score, play game and move on the court both side to side and back to front. Wheelchair players are welcome but Rick Bothell needs know in advance if you use a wheelchair so he may learn the special rules.

How to hit the groundstroke dink from the NVZ line.
How to hit the volley dink from NVZ line.
To groundstroke or to volley dink from NVZ line
Learn the crosscourt dink, the "save the point" dink and the gap shot
Where to position yourself for better defense (Big V Little V)
Deep serve, deep return
Where to hit a winner
How to hit the power volley and block volley (reset)
How to drop from the baseline
Drop from the baseline, move forward and split step
3rd shot drop verses 5th shot drop. Why?
Plus: Write the instructor Rick Bothell a text or email. Let him know what you would want to learn or practice. E.G, What caused you to lose that last match that you played.
